2025 Schindler Cup

• Players must be 16 years or older at the time of their specific regional competition taking place.
• The competition is open to every club across South Africa.
• A team will consist of 4 players (2 ladies and 2 men).
• Clubs may enter a maximum of 2 teams.
• No player within the FIP framework, by participating in sanctioned professional tournaments, earning points towards the FIP ranking, and being governed by the FIP's rules and regulations will be permitted to play.
• In cases where a player plays at more than one club in more than one region/province, the player must determine which club/region/province they are going to represent. They may not represent multiple clubs.
• Players may only compete in one regional qualifying event.

• The regional club competition is a TEAM composition.
• Teams comprise of two men and two women, all being from the same club and subject to being eligible as stated in the general information above.

• Teams will play against one another on a tie basis.
• Matches will consist of a ladies doubles, men's doubles and 2 (two) mixed doubles.
• Teams will be divided into round robin pools.
• The number of teams participating will determine the format, number of pools and play-off matches in each regional event.
• During the round robin competition, all matches (doubles and mixed doubles) must be played.
• The competition formats will be made available as the event approaches.

• Pre-selected clubs/venues will be used as hosts for each regional qualifying event.
• All matches must be played at the stipulated venues.
• Total number of entries will determine the number of days required to complete the regional tournament.
• Condition of entry as per the general rules section above.
• The winning team from each regional competition will qualify for the national regional final.

• 17 Regional winners.
• 3 x Runner up teams to be drawn live on social media to participate in the national finals event.
• 20 Competing teams in total (80 players).
• One division only.
• 2 Day weekend competition:

- Friday: Mid-day until late evening (round robin stages)
- Saturday: Finals, play-offs, function and prize giving
- Sunday: Teams return home
